This policy explains how TesLabs (“we”) handles personal data for teslabs.app and for apps we publish, starting with B777 Companion.

B777 Companion
B777 Companion is an iPad study app. It does not require an account. It does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking across other companies’ apps.
Data that stays on your iPad
The app stores study preferences locally, using Apple’s standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). This includes:
- Selected fleet type and engine
- Unit preference (US or metric)
- Last selected tab and related display options (for example hotspot overlays, CDU brightness)
- Study CDU session state
- On-device search history, which you can clear in Settings & Info
We cannot read this data. It is not uploaded to TesLabs. Deleting the app removes it, subject to any iCloud / device backup you have configured yourself.
Optional network use (FMS trainer)
Study content for panels, systems, alerts, and synoptics works offline. The study CDU / FMC can optionally retrieve example airports, routes, and procedure strings when the iPad is online. If you use those functions, the app sends the identifiers you entered (for example ICAO codes, origin and destination) to public lookup services in order to return study examples:
- Flight Plan Database (flightplandatabase.com)
- Airports API (airportsapi.com)
- Overpass API / OpenStreetMap (overpass-api.de)
Those requests are for trainer familiarisation only. They are not a certified navigation database and must never be used for flight planning or aircraft operation. Those providers process the request according to their own policies. We do not receive a copy of the lookup, and we do not combine it with an account.
If you stay offline, these lookups are not made.
Feedback you send us
If you use Send Feedback in the app, your device Mail app composes a message to us. The message includes the text you typed, the category you chose, and the app version. Mail also attaches whatever sender address your device uses. We use that correspondence only to respond and to improve the app. You can also email support@teslabs.app directly.
Purchases
If you buy the app on the App Store, Apple processes payment. TesLabs does not receive your card details. See Apple’s privacy policy.
What we do not collect
- No login, profile, or user ID issued by TesLabs
- No location permission for the app’s core study features
- No access to contacts, photos, or microphone
- No advertising identifiers used by us
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the current app
This website
teslabs.app is a static marketing and legal site. We do not set analytics cookies and we do not run an account system on this domain. Your browser will send standard technical data to the host (IP address, user agent, requested URL) so the pages can be delivered and the server can stay secure. Pages also request webfonts from Google Fonts, which is a Google service.
The contact form collects your name, email, optional company, topic, and message so we can reply. Submissions are sent to hello@teslabs.app. We keep enquiries as long as needed to answer, then delete them unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Your language preference (EN or NL) is stored in your browser (localStorage) so we can show the same language on a later visit. That choice does not leave your device.
Other TesLabs products
Tesland One and TesLapp are workshop systems used by Tesland. Staff and customer data in those systems is handled in Tesland’s operational processes, not by B777 Companion.
The AlloyGator shop and CRM run for AlloyGator Nederland at alloygator.nl. Customer and dealer data there is handled in AlloyGator’s processes, not by B777 Companion.
Lipi is not yet a public App Store product. When it ships, this policy will be updated.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- On-device study preferences: your use of the app.
- Optional FMS lookups: your request to retrieve study examples.
- Support and contact messages: answering you, and legal obligations if a request concerns your rights.
- Website server logs: operating and securing the site.
Retention
On-device data lasts until you delete it or the app. Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal data we hold. You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Children
B777 Companion is intended for professional pilots and adult students. It is not directed at children.
Changes
We will update this page when the apps or this site change what we collect. The date at the top will change.
